Howe- Funeral services for Deborah Ruth Miller will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, October 31 at Waldo Funeral Home with Deacon John LeBlanc of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery with Glenn Bateman, Steve Roby, Jeff Miller, Michael Notskas, Joshua Dixon, and Christopher Papoi serving as pallbearers. Ms. Miller passed away Saturday, October 24 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center at the age of 57.
Debbie was born on August 22, 1952 in Sherman, Texas. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1970 and worked at Koch Industries in Wichita, Kansas from 1987-2001. Returning to Sherman, Debbie was employed as a customer service rep at Lowe's for several years before her illness forced her to stay at home. Debbie enjoyed making arts and crafts and was an avid musician. She played the guitar and sang, and volunteered much of her time entertaining the residents at nursing homes and veteran's hospitals.
Debbie is survived by one daughter, Danielle Bateman and her husband Charlie of Howe; one son, Sean Miller and wife Piper of Valley Center, Kansas; four grandchildren, Kevin Bateman, and Chase, Abby, and Chance Miller; two sisters, Lynda Papoi of Sherman and Rebecca Dixon and husband Wendell of Ft. Worth; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Oleta (Breece) Evans and one brother, Larry Evans.
